Wabash Plaza offers a terraced lawn, seating areas and handicapped accessible ramps. The Plaza’s centerpiece is Chicago’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial, one of the largest in the country outside of Washington, D.C. The memorial features the names of more than 2,900 Illinois servicemen killed or missing in action in the Vietnam War; an engraved timeline of significant battles, operations and world events during the Vietnam War years; a waterwall and fountain; and informational plaques.
